"Parco faunistico La Rupe" was founded in 1980 in Civitella Casanova, in the beautiful hills of inland Pescara, in the region of Abruzzo.
Its founder and owner, Roberto Locatelli decided to welcome and foster wild animals adopted from public entities such as the Abruzzi National Park, the Corpo Forestale dello Stato and other zoological gardens, both national and foreing.
In addition to bears, wolves, lynxes we also feature exotic species like tigers, leopards, monkeys and more; therefore we qualify as a Zoological Garden. Our main scope is not so much the quantity of species but the quality of the habitats we are able to offer them, even if these are wild animals.
Ours is not a Zoo Safari, it’s a walk in the green hills! |
